Legal

Terms and Conditions.

Last updated: 22 April 2026

These terms apply to use of the PlumbersNI website at plumbersni.com ("the website") and the introducer service we operate through it. By submitting a quote request or using the site you agree to these terms.

1. What PlumbersNI does

PlumbersNI is an introducer service. We connect homeowners and landlords in Northern Ireland with Gas Safe and OFTEC registered plumbing and heating installers on our network. When you submit a quote request through this website, we pass your details to a qualified installer who then contacts you directly to quote the job.

We do not carry out plumbing, gas or heating work ourselves. If you accept a quote from an installer, the resulting contract for the work is between you and that installer, not with PlumbersNI.

We may receive a fee from the installer for the introduction. This does not add to the price you're quoted.

2. Using this site

You may use the site to browse content, read guides and submit enquiries provided you:

  • Give accurate details when submitting a form.
  • Only submit enquiries for work at a property you own, rent or are authorised to arrange work for.
  • Do not use the site for any unlawful purpose, to send spam or automated submissions, or to impersonate anyone.

3. Your contract with the installer

Once your details are with the installer, any further agreement is directly between you and them. That includes:

  • The quote, price, and scope of the work.
  • Deposits, payment terms and invoicing.
  • Workmanship warranties and any manufacturer warranties.
  • Gas Safe, OFTEC and Building Control notifications where applicable.
  • Public liability and professional indemnity cover.
  • Data protection for the ongoing customer relationship.

Installers on our network are required to be Gas Safe registered (for gas work), OFTEC registered (for oil work), City & Guilds qualified, and to carry their own public liability insurance. We review installers before admitting them to the network and reserve the right to remove them for conduct issues. We do not, however, supervise day-to-day work and we cannot guarantee the performance of any individual installer.

4. Information on the website

Indicative prices, timeframes and guides on this website are for general information. The final quote you receive from an installer may differ based on your specific property, system and job scope. We don't warrant that any guide is complete, current or specific enough to be relied on as professional advice.

Where we reference third-party brands (Worcester Bosch, Vaillant, Ideal, Warmflow, Baxi and others), those remain the property of their respective owners. Appearance on this site does not imply endorsement by those brands.

5. Emergency requests

PlumbersNI is not an emergency service in its own right. If you submit an emergency request we route it to the most suitable installer as quickly as we can during working hours (Mon–Sat 8am–6pm). If you smell gas, leave the property and call the Northern Ireland Gas Emergency line on 0800 002 001 (free, 24/7) before contacting us or any installer.

6. Limitation of our liability

Because PlumbersNI is an introducer and not the installer, our responsibility is limited to operating the introduction in good faith. We are not liable for:

  • The quality, price, punctuality or outcome of work carried out by an installer.
  • Any losses, damage or additional cost arising from the installer's work, conduct or failure to attend.
  • Disputes between you and the installer over scope, warranty or payment (though we'll try to help resolve these informally if asked).

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded under UK consumer law.

7. Privacy

How we handle the personal data you submit is set out in our Privacy Policy. By submitting a form on this site you consent to us passing your details to an installer on our network for the purpose of quoting your job.

8. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. The terms in force at the time you submit an enquiry are the ones that apply to that enquiry.

9. Governing law

These terms and any dispute arising under them are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland. The courts of Northern Ireland have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
