Questions
Gas appliance FAQ.
Can't I fit it myself?
No. Any gas connection work must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer. DIY gas work is a criminal offence and invalidates your home insurance.
How long does an install take?
A like-for-like cooker swap is 30–60 minutes. A new install with pipework extension is 2–3 hours. Gas fires typically take half a day.
Do you do hobs and range cookers?
Yes. Induction cookers don't need gas, but gas hobs, dual-fuel range cookers and LPG cookers all do. The installer handles them all.
Do you certify the install?
Yes, every gas appliance installers fit gets a safety check and certificate on the day. Lodged with Gas Safe.
